Bill, it depends on the intended use...The CT acoustics do not require our 70 pound speakers....Like you when I need the big thump...nothing short of my Cubes will do...

The BA330 was designed to use with up to 100 people, and I have found it to work great in venues like senior gigs, restaurants, and even lounges and combo rooms like the CrabTrap..It does the same rooms that a Bose compact will do...The 30 watts stereo compared to the Compact 100 watts mono is marginal in the above venues listed...In fact the mids are better on the BA330, and the Compact has the bottom edge (Sub woofer)....but for a swiss knife unit..you can't beat the BA330..

Numbers on amp ratings is a farce to me...you have to try the units in a real setting....

My Cubes are 100 watts, and it out performs the 1000 watt competition that others rave about....The edirol mixer turned out to be my "perfect" match for the Old Cubes..

The best 70 pounds a gig could have...but when I don't need the extra power...the 29 pound BA330 works for me..
