An agent I work with was talking about the different performers he uses
at retirement centers, NH's, etc. He says he has three kinds of performers:
1. "Instrumentalists". Music Instrumentals only, no vocals, no chatting with the audience.
2. "Jukebox". Musician/Singers who play and sing without any further showmanship
3. The "Hams"...Musician/Singers/Schmoozer/Personality types that incorporate the audience into the act.
Which are you?
(I'm #3 on most jobs and #2 on the others)
