I owned and performed with a TE 4 years ago. Even then the sounds were kind of dated. I fellow keyboard player who stood in for me on keys when I had to fill in for our drummer used a TE with my current band and it really sounded dated. You can add samples if you want to deal with the long startup time to load them. If you can get it cheap, it might be nice to have in your toolkit. I think it might be a step or so down from the PA800/Pa2x.

I own the Kronos now and of course it's a beast when compared with the TE. But it was a pricey beast.
