Joe Meek was into more than pop records, though. He experimented with all sorts of sounds and effects, all from his 'studio' which was in his mum's house and about the size of your average bathroom. I remember going there once with a few of the lads in my band to drop off some tapes we'd done. You couldn't get in the door for cables and wires everywhere. Good times!
