I finally got a chance to check it out....and while it was nice, for someone who has used software samples for some time now......the sounds aren't that groundbreaking.
I still miss my trusty ol' SK76 from Generalmusic!
Yikes! Are you sure you were demoing the Kronos??? Can you name all 9 synth engines? Only ONE of the engines (HD1) in the Kronos uses Samples. The EP-1 (electric pianos) and CX3 (Hammond) engines alone are outstanding, so expressive and customizable.
I think you better get back to the shop and spend some more quality time with that instrument. There are THOUSANDS of programs and Combi's in that beast most of which are truly inspiring. And for those sounds that don't make the cut, this board has limitless customizability.
