Using John’s Pa800 package with my Pa 800:
1-I studies loading and saving until I understood.
2-Saved every part that could be saved, stored in on a stick and a copy in my computer
3-Loaded the styles; being aware that I needed some of John’s sounds to get the full value.
My purpose for loading was to get acquainted with John’s work. At a later time I will reload the styles and make a paper record of the ones I want to keep in my user section.
I have the Pa800 over 8 months so I am well acquainted with the styles; I know what’s good and I know what I would like to replace. When I am done working with John’s styles and the factory styles I will have one great keyboard that’s all about desires in styles. I will do the same for the other areas that John has covered.
THIS IS NOT OUT-OF-THE-BOX AND PLAY KEYBOARD.
When I was playing jobs with my Kn7000 I bought a Pa800, I was bored and curious. I used it on my job after taking a short time to program my songs. After playing two jobs I was a mess, my jobs became a nightmare, I was prepared to sell.
I did not sell because I felt the keyboard was offering something very different but I was not sure what it was.
1-My mind set was Technics and Yamaha. After years of using these two keyboards I was very comfortable.
2-I went back to my Kn7000; but I did not stop my trying to understand the Pa800. I did not let up although there were times I thought of selling it again.
3-I am now very comfortable with the Pa7000 and in order to make my korg commitment complete I sold my two Technics keyboards; they were sold about three months ago.
Guys and Ladies I now know I made the right move I am playing better than I have ever played because this keyboard is now me; I am able to do things that I was never able to do. Amen!
John C.
PS, The KMA will be the little sister to my Pa800; portable and light and ready to supply me with some nice experiences. This keyboard, for me, will be; play it right out of the box because of my Pa800 experience.
