I Quite agree with your comments leezone!
SD5 & SD3 are brilliant pieces of kit but the module should definitely be cheaper. Even worse is the fact that only a floppy drive is included on standard model, (no USB - which is a great drawback) so you have to go for the Hard Drive version which is £200 (UK) more expensive. My local PC World store will sell me a similar sized hard drive for peanuts. I've been a Solton/Ketron fan for many years and very much want an SD3 to replace my Solton MS40 but it hurts to see a company throwing sales away by following an unrealistic price formulae - SD3 needs both a price cut AND Hard Drive including as standard. £1400 (UK) for SD3-HD is the maximum they can fairly ask (especially with a recession upon us) and, until then, I will hang onto my money. By the way, some dealers for Ketron products would be helpful too - none in the UK.
