Eddie, you're right. In the late 60's, sidemen with the top bands in Lexington made $75.00 per night for a 4-6 night house job.

Now, for one-nighters at the 10 biggest venues (mostly hotel lounges), the sideman rate is $75.00. These are the best jobs in Lexington clubs. Others pay less.

The rate for dining rooms has held at $150.00 for over 20 years.
And, there are 1/2 the dining room jobs there were even 5 years ago.

Thank goodness for Philharmonic showcase jobs, Wineries, corporations and, my favorite, a horseman from Dubai ($$$$$).
