I don't know about that approach - it seems that every time I go to a wedding or a club, the DJ/band caters to the ladies and plays for the 10-15 shoeless, drink toting single gals that seem to take over the dance floor. This puts them in front line of the speakers, and maybe THEIR hearing gets the worst beating!

Kidding, mostly ... but the point is that many performers seems to ignore the majority of the couples that remain seated while the minority of "babes" seem to whoop it up on the floor. Sure, it's fun to watch for a while, but it's selfish, and not at all fair to the room as a whole.

I try not to ever play more than 3 similar dance tunes in a row (sometimes 2 is enough) and then I change it up. Get the older couples out on the floor too ... throw a bone to the lovers in the crowd, give them something to celebrate. Sorry, but this has been an issue for me for ever. I look at a room of 150 people, and I see 15 on the dance floor .... it's poor management by the entertainer, even if the crazies on the floor are really living it up.

Hi UD

Ah, that's not really what I had in mind or intended here.haha My ladies tend to be 50+ and sober. I generally do the ballroom dance club circuit. I don't play much for young drunk chics, but I guess they have their place in the ecological system too. rotfl bounce
