I just received word from the repair person that I entrusted to repair my 7000. Great news, it blew the master fuse but all seems OK. He’ll have it back to me from Sacramento when he makes his up trip on Friday.
Thanks for all your concerns and help.
I’ve learned to live with a better surge protector next time.

Oh, by the way John, my repair person says they don’t provide an external fuse as many keyboardist would stuff anything in the holder to get it running, but end up burning the whole thing up. Probably the tin-foil off there cigarette case.
My repair bill turned out to be $113., which was cheep for what I had expected.
