I went ahead and bought the first version for $349. If I change my mind, I can return it and get the newer one.

I guess it makes sense for my economic situation, and since I don't see absolutely needing that camera ...

If the new iPad had a dedicated usb slot and a memory card reader or a great camera .. I would have splurged.

With arrangers, I like to get the latest model. That's my profession. With gadgets, I can live off the leftovers.
