Tony,
3 years ago I had Crystal Lens replacement in both eyes because of cataract issues. About 6 months after the surgery I had a seriously detached retina. After undergoing surgery to repair the original detachment the thing detached a second time! Today after almost 2 years I still have an oil bubble in my left eye rendering it just about useless. The problem has been swelling that won't go away. I have been on 6 drops a day eye drops for 2 years now and the prognosis is not good.

It seems very little can be done to repair the damage that occurs when the retina detaches. They can re-attach the retina but the damage has been done and vision is never the same. If it doesn't cure by itself you are SOL.

I wish you well and hope all turns out ok for you.
