Hello Guys, I am posting this message thru my friend Turkmusic computer and my name is Eddy Kanaan (I made the VEGA oriental sounds and styles plus the oriental modifications for the operating system) and I tell you with my consideration to your knowledge in sampling that the VEGA drum sets cannot be sampled exactly the same and you cant convert the VEGA styles to any keyboard because they will play so different and for the following reasons:
1. The VEGA drum sets use layer sounds, which change referring to the velocity range.
2. The VEGA drum sets use effects splits which means that for example for the DOM of the Tabla, doholla, katem, tabel there is no effect at all, and for each percussion we gave different effect. That’s what makes the style quality very clear on stage.
3. The VEGA styles are composed from two drum sets, one is occidental and the other is oreintal, the map of the occidental drum set is not GM and use the layer technology.
4. All the VEGA styles use the drum mixer facility for oriental percussion family groups. For example to whom who doesn't know the VEGA architecture, we can adjust the volume of the tabla, reck, doholla, katem, tabel, orclaps and sagat using the drum mixer and that is not thru velocity, it is a special control change recognized only by the VEGA. So we mixed the styles using this special technique and without it the VEGA styles will play so wrong.
