Russ, I have the same Gator case as Fran (not copying ). I find it a little heavy and makes moving anything like the G70 a chore. But it is a good, protective environment.
The GigSkinz would be a good alternative if you are able to lift and carry the G70 by yourself safely. The only criticism I have of GigSkinz is they are more expensive than other bags of that style.
