Page 78 in the manual is where you can find which parameters are memorizable - unfortunately, chord recognition type is NOT one of them, and yes, the defaulting back to Intelligent is an unfortunate choice, but NOT a bug (a bug is something the manual says should do one thing, and it does another - the manual does not state one way or the other about this, hence not a bug, just poor design!)
