About the only sport with moral responsibility is Golf. You are expected to call penalties not only on your playing partners, but on yourself, and it happens a lot. It's not perfect, but it's about the only sport that doesn't ENCOURAGE cheating if you can get away with it.
There are many hundreds of situation where a player has lost a lot of money by calling a penalty on himself, when nobody else would ever know what happened.
Imagine a football game where a receiver catches a touchdown pass, and then goes to the referee and says, "Sorry, I know you didn't see it but I pushed off on that reception, so we'll take a 10 yard penalty and try it again."
By the way, don't count out the Defending World Champion New Orleans Saints. They are healthy again.
