Trouble is, although Yamaha provide a second keyboard input, so that its' parameters are stored as part of the Registration (it's a PITA to have to call up the lower's sounds after you have recalled the registration... It OUGHT to be 'one button' does it ALL), they only allow for ONE sound on that lower manual. So you hook up a 76 or an 88, and all it can do is ONE sound...

I talked with Steve Demming about this, but I think it's going to take more than me to make Yamaha aware that the lower manual OUGHT to be able to be split exactly as much as the upper... If you are thinking of adding a second keyboard to a T4 or an S910, contact Yamaha directly and mention this...

The reason that home organs work so well is that ALL the parameters for ALL the manuals gets stored in the Registration. If you have to split this up between the upper and lower manuals, you are missing out on the whole POINT of a two manual system...
