WOW! Now I know I'm really old--W3JQL, and I only wished I lived in Sooth Florida right now. Today's weather in Baltimore is raining and 49 degrees.
This was my first receiver, a Hallicrafters SX-43. It got so hot you could cook breakfast on the top.
I cut lawns and served newspapers all summer long and purchased it in 1952. At the time it was considered the TOTL in this part of the world.
