70 inches includes a case and obviously I would be putting it with luggage under the plane. I have flown AT LEAST one hundred times with my Tyros 1/2/3 and have never had any damage done.
The problem is that American Airlines (for example) charges $450 for the T3, JUST for luggage, overweight and oversize fees. The s910 is not overweight, but is 8 inches oversize.
