Several members have commented in recent months about cutting back on the number of performances they do annually. Some have done it for health reasons, others, for a variety.
Here's a question for the group:
If you anticipated cutting back your performances by 25% next year, what criteria would you use?
Would it be the lowest paying gigs?
Would it be the ones furthest away from home?
Would it be the later evening gigs?
Would it be the ones where getting paid seems to be a constant issue?
Would be it where the client isn't prepared? (ie room not ready, furniture needs moved, etc.)
I imagine for most, it would be a combination of several of these. I'd like to hear how others would handle this.
Cheers-
