Folks:
I've recently purchased a JV-1010, and am pretty pleased with the balance of price and sounds. However, I have a Yamaha portable keyboard costing half as much which has a better range of MIDI brush drum sounds. I recently rented an Alesis DM-5 as a separate drum module, but it has exactly 3 brush sounds, and they're completely inadequate.
Anybody have a suggestion for not much money? I'm especially interested in sounds like the continuous swish of a slow jazz ballad brush. Does the Roland Bass and Drums expansion board have decent brushes, including that? Anything else?
