Hi Bachus.
Now i was wondering if any of you own one and have tried running live styler on it. Will it work ?
There's no reason in the world why it shouldn't. The Neko is pretty much a straight PC in a Keyboard Case.
So did anyone toy around with this concept or know someone that did ?
I know a few guys that have Neko's and Miko's and they swear by them. Does everything it says and are real work horses.
On the NEKO there is running Mimik software.
http://www.openlabs.com/mimik.html This Mimik software allows you to make a copy of every sound from another instrument. This way you could for example make exact copies of all sounds/instruments from a T3 or a PA2X (except for SA sounds, but they could be replaced with vst's) This way the livestyler should run all yamaha and Korg styles the way they where intended to be.
Technically yeah, if you sample about 3 or 4 layers of each sound, you can get some pretty excellent emulations of the original sound. It will never sound as good as you cannot reproduce what the Engine does to the sound, but you can get fairly close.

James
