GW8 uses MIDI to style conversion software on an external PC. Prepare your style in a sequencer, save to an SMF, then Roland's software converts to a GW8 compatible style.

There seems to be quite a bit missing in the manual as well about MFX inset settings, etc..

But, what do you expect for $800?
