I have two of those units. The manuel is pretty simple and depending on what you want to do it shouldn't take you long to set it up. It remembers your settings when turned off so you don't have to set it again. I use mine for bass lines with my Hammond XK3 and sometimes my Roland G1000. Every board will be a different story. Roland product support is pretty good too.
