I checked but wasn't able to find an exact answer. I know that the difference between the two types is in size. After checking some of the model #'s that people recommend it seems that it is type 2.
Out os curiousity I tried to plug in my wireless pcmcia type-2 card, but it will not fit. So that made me wonder what type it was. ( the keyboard was off during the experiment).
