Yes, your MIDI driver must be multi-client capable in order for Sounddiver to work with a sequencer package. That should be about it though. Either get an interface with such a driver or use Hubi's loopback driver (I don't know that it is really dreaded though).

Sounddiver (SD) works great with Logic Audio since both sport a feature called Autolink. What Autolink allows you to do is transmit all of your patch names into a sequencer program. Logic is the only sequencer I know of currently that supports it although I believe that Autolink is open for 3rd parties to develop Autolink support. It is a great system. You can use SD to get a list of patches from your synths (or write the user memory with new ones from a library) and automatically update the patch lists in the sequencer.

It is pretty cool once you get it working.
