So you have a regular disk drive in there but it won't format? Is it possible to put one of your XP disks in there that you've already been working with, and just copy those songs onto a new disk and then have the xp read the new disk? You could probably get out of having to buy a ROland disk drive that way. Like I said, I would put my XP disk into the computer, then thru windows explorer I copied the disk onto a new one and then I didn't have to format a new disk. Let me know what happens with that. Also, with my disk drive, I complained to the guy I bought it from and he's going to replace the disk drive free of charge. I don't know if this option is available to you or not. Let me know what happens with that.
