Maybe just having a 'normal' arranger first might encourage you to try and learn to play well FIRST, before you go off the deep end with the MS, or Open Labs..?

You see, you don't put a Formula One car in the hands of a beginner driver, or even a regular day to day commuter. Too much power

This is my fear with the MS, etc.. It seems, from most of the demos I have heard, to have been mostly picked up by players that, let's just be kind and say seem to have considerable playing problems. Perhaps they look at the promo material, perhaps they look at the specs, and go 'this is VERY different.. maybe THIS is the thing that will make me sound incredible' rather than realizing the sad truth. Learning to PLAY WELL is what is going to make you sound incredible...

And after that, it doesn't matter much WHAT you play...
