Lot of factors can make you not impressed in a store with a new model... bad monitors or a mono keyboard amp can ruin an arranger's sound (if you are used to a good pair), but common sense would make you believe that a newer model, especially a Yamaha, who go VERY incrementally on nearly everything arranger related, is VERY unlikely to sound worse than it's predecessor.

So Sunny, how did you arrive at this conclusion?
