three minutes to load 200 or so Mb of samples is perfectly acceptable for me, especially since I only play at home. I have managed to squeeze all my favorite samples in that amount of memory so don't need to load new sets while I play.
If I had to play live, I would load my samples before the show (of course) and then carry an UPS unit in case of a sudden, short, power failure. For longer power failures (like in case of fire or hurricanes... just kidding

) nobody is going to blame you for having to wait three more minutes while you reload.
