The issue is with those Thumps.
They are designed to be Bass heavy and not as suited to vocals insomuch as DJ work. Not exactly flat speakers. Hence the name Thump, You really notice it when A/B with the Mackie SRMs. But the price is right at $700 a pair is half the cost of the Mackies.

You should be able to use the EQ on the Tapcos to find a happy medium though. Unless you really like the Yamaha soundset.

None of these arrangers have decent mike pre amps, and the Behringer 's Xenex are not much better. Th TC has a decent pre Amp..but if you are running it through a keyboard you erase mike input the advantage, You really need aux inputs for the TC,

Heck jump start the economy....get a Tyros 3 and a pair of Bose LT1s
