I use Ketron Midjay, not that it's very old.
No other self-contained unit on the market will do everything it does, as far as I know. Great sounds, great drums, lyrics display with style, easy operating system, MP3, WAV, Midi, loops, vocal processing, on-board WAV recorder, aux-in, mic outs. I use a dedicated 6-switch foot controller and a 13-switch one is also available.
It weighs something like 9 pounds.
It's not perfect for everybody because it doesn't have music finder or OTS (of course you can set up your own). Style editing onboard is limited to changing style-part voices and volumes. You can edit voices as far as stacking up to four, changing effects and velocity. All the styles from all the other Ketrons work great. You hook it up via USB and it shows up as a drive on the PC.
I have both a 76-note and a 61-note controller, to suit the situation or mood.
As much as I enjoy the Roland E50, I keep going back to the MJ.
