Bob,
I have very sucessfully used the Roland PK-5 pedal board with T2. I think it will work the same with T3. I used it 2 ways...#1 for bass playing (organ style) AND #2 to control the T2 functions...worked great. You just hit a switch on it to change from MIDI notes (bass) to MIDI controls.

You get 13 switches(pedals) to set to control many things. The items that can be controlled with MIDI are in the manual.
