Roland US provides a small utility to play OS files, called "PC SMF Update Application" (pretty name, huh?) You can download at roland site:
ftp://ftp.rolandus.com/pub/roland/libdata/MISC/SMFPLAYR.ZIPAlso there is a Mac version available, called MidiGraphy Application (where Roland gets these names?)
