I am considering buying an XP80, but it occurred to me that isn't it about time Roland bought out a new high - end workstation? the '80 came out about the same time as the Trinity (though the JV1080 was even older), and of course the Trinity has now been replaced by the Triton.

Roland has obviously been busy with their groove range of products, but isn't it about time for a new model? XP100 anyone? Perhaps guts of a '2080 (3FX etc) plus more polyphony, with several exp. cards built in a'la XP30, & a bigger screen like the Korgs.

Has anyone heard any rumours I haven't?
