Coca, I love the KN7 but it does not have much of the new technology.
1-Working with midi files is a nightmare.
2-The vocal harmony is the worst. You can use to some degree the mic. and reverb.
3-You can use the PC for some work, but again it is very limited. You must use an SD card which is no where as good as a memory stick. (USB)
The Yamaha DX7 keyboard was a desired keyboard, years past it’s birth people were still looking for them. You had to love what it did. The KN7 falls into the same category. If you love the old big band sound – accordions --- and organs, it is a winner.
If you love the way the bands of today are playing the old music then it is not the keyboard. I became frustrated with the KN7 when I attempted to play more of the contemporary music, it performed poorly, the heart was missing.
But – If your criteria is the case, you could drop it from a two story window then pick it up and then go play your job, no problem.
Now the big questions –What type of music do you play? How will you be using the keyboard? Will you be using midi files.
I hope this helps, John C.
