I guess everyone hears with a different set of ears(hey, that rhymes) but when I heard an arranger put through the K4, I was not impressed.

Loud? Yes the amp speaks volumes...it's a loud rig...but I thought it made the arranger sound flat and hard.

Tried the tube section...nope...no better.

I'm not saying its a bad keyboard amp...it's actually pretty decent when you run an electric piano through it, or an organ like an Xk-1...it would make a great stage monitor amp for these instruments.

But, in my opinion, it is not, nor was it ever, designed for the full range capabilities of an arranger that's pumping drums, bass, keyboard, guitar, and other sounds through it all at once.

The stereo imaging was also disappointing...I found it virtually non-existent at about 20 ft or a bit more.

There will be people who are made very happy by a Traynor K4, and I wouldn't laugh at them even though it is resoundingly not my sort of amplifier.

Two powered speakers would serve you better.

Plus...it's HEAVY.
