Well, let's face it, if the lack of drawbars is enough to put of some of this thread's so-called Hammond purists off the C1, well OF COURSE these die hard 'experts' will be running it through a 147, wouldn't they?

But the problem remains... do you get the better Leslie sim, but restrict yourself to one manual, or get a C1, put up with a VERY slightly inferior Leslie sim, and with the money you save not getting the second manual kit from Hammond/Suzuki (and the chiropractor bills!) you could buy a REAL Leslie?

BTW, I have heard more differences between different B3/Leslie combos than between the C1 and XK-3c demos. They never were identical, like playing two grand pianos...
One thing I haven't been able to find out... For me, the B3's volume pedal's throw and curve are probably more important to the playability of the organ than whether it has drawbars or not (you use it ALL the time, not just at registration changes). But here are several people talking about Yamaha expression pedals, or Roland ones, that are nothing LIKE the B3's... Does anyone make a volume pedal (or expression) that is IDENTICAL to the B3's?
