A great middle of the road small but great sounding PA is the Yamaha StagePas 300. Two small light weight speakers and a tiny 300 watt stereo powered mixer which snaps into the back of one of the speakers and can be left in the back and used or can be taken out very easily and placed on top of a standard mic stand. The size of the powered mixer is about 8"x 5"x 4".
As to the differences between the Korg PA800 and PA2XPRO:
the PA2XPRO has one more digital draw bar for the Organs ( There are mechanical faders to move up and down on the 2XPRO and only 2 of these on the 800)
the PA2XPRO comes with 128 MB of sample memory compared to 64MB for the 800 and the 2XPRO can be upgraded to 256MB.
The PA2XPRO comes with the MP3 Recorder/Player and and internal hard drive standard and these are options on the 800
Load time for putting in your own samples on power on setup is faster on the PA2XPRO than on the PA800 by about 1/2 the time.
Of Course, there are 76 semi weighted keys on the 2XPRO vs 61 standard synth keys on the 800.
The plus for many on the 800 is size. It weighs only 29lbs and has built in speakers. The PA2XPRO weighs closer to 50 lbs and has no speakers.
There are two more outputs on the 2XPRO that are not available on the 800
The display moves up and down to get the desired angle on the 2XPRO and not on the 800
That's pretty much the major differences.
