Excellent George! Korg is really catering to Pa1X/PRO owners, that's for sure. There have been several OS upgrades since the Board came out which is great for Pa1X/PRO owners. Just look at all Korg added and fixed with OS 2.0!! It looks like much has been 'improved' with OS 2.0 too.

Kudos! to Korg for really catering to their customers and for their ambition in giving Pa1X/PRO owners satisfaction, and that they're constantly improving their Flagship Arranger. At one point Yamaha Tyros owners had to wait pert near a year for 'any' upgrade. Finally, with OS 1.40, Tyros owners got a little relief but little is about it unfortunately. They gave the repeat Self to Fill with a common foot pedal which they hemmed and hawed about but finally succeeded in giving us. But THEY should show the initiative!
Don't drag your feet but get some enthusiasm Yammie!! >> PS: The saying really IS true: that it is "More blessed to GIVE than to receive" you realize; or should realize anyway. So Yammie should be 'thinking' of ways to improve and add enhancements to the Tyros instead of waiting for their loyal customers to start complaining of its shortcomings and glitches first. For instance; Yamaha could win over many hearts to their products (Tyros included) if they were to 'add' some new features and enhancements that would make owners of the Tyros stand up, take notice, warmly welcome and even salute their endeavours. Like "replacing" certain Voices in the Tyros that really suck big time, such as the Jazz and Solo Trumpets. They are simply unusable in a Gigging or 'any other' environment. Also improve some of the Organs and give the Panel Organs 'touch' sensitivity. There are many other enhancements and features that could be considered too. Be creative Yammie!

If Yamaha did things like that, their customer database would dramatically increase IMO and more and more people would buy from them again and again because people realize a good thing when they not only see it but experience it firsthand. If Yamaha scratches our backs we will scratch theirs. That goes without saying btw.

When they drag their heels and provide lackadaisical support they show that they really aren't concerned about their customers continued satisfaction but are only concerned about getting the 'next' Model shoved out the factory door. Usually shoved out before it's even stable and hopefully bug free and we the owners [or 'they' perhaps] minus me, become the beta testers. Sad but true unfortunately. >> Same as Microsoft does with their products.

Win my continued support Yamaha, don't make be beg for support and get frustrated for your lack thereof...

My 2¢..

Best regards,
Mike
