I wouldn't recommend it either. I think what you want is more low end only for a larger room. You want the subwoofer without the satelites. I found that my vocals distorted at quite low volumes with the Z-2200. It is a bass heavy system.

Perhaps you should get a 200 watt subwoofer. Since you'd only be using it rarely, it might not need to be a professional unit. This would probably beef up your sound in a large room.
