I'm not going to really know anything until I hear it for myself. Demo's are nice to hear but... I never really judge the board until it's in my hands. If it really is just a repackaged PA80, I'll know it right away, because I have a ton of experience with my PA80. That isn't really a bad thing, but I'm happy with what I have already and I don;t need a new PA80.. Still, I can only make that call when it's in front of me..

I have to wonder out of the descriptions I've read at times of PA80 sounds vs the Yamaha stuff. Makes me wonder if it's just my ears that wanna hear something else... Having recorded a good bit of stuff on my PA80 and some on my PSr2000, maybe there's something astray in my ears, or maybe not, but I'll gladly take quite a few sounds from my PA80 over their PSR counterparts, particularly the drums, bass, and especially synth sounds.. The rest is up for grabs for me depending on the particular instrument.

The demos I heard on the sud-claviers site don't particularly impress me btw, and I wouldn't be very impressed at all if I didn't already know what a korg arranger sounds like, but I did like a couple of the demos ( completely different ) on the Korg PA site. Still it all means nothing to me til I can get my mitts on it. Oh and just for the record.. I have yet to hear myself run out of polyphony in well over two+ years of playing my PA80. Not once. Nada.. never... On the other hand I can run out on the Motif and PSR2000 without even trying.
