Frankie,

I've only done one outside job with the Logitech Z-5500, about 80 people, and nearly everyone complemented as to how great the music sounded. The area I had to cover was about 80 X 100 feet, and with the speakers positioned on the stands at a height of 5-1/2 feet the sound seemed to go everywhere.

If you were running a 4-piece band through it, I don't know how it would perform, but I suspect that if you were going through a mixer, and you had a couple guitars, a keyboard and a vocalist, it would work out just fine. The best advice I can give with this is to buy the Z-5500 from a retailer with a liberal return policy, try it out with the band, and if you don't like what your hear, take it back for a refund. The job I did today was in a room that measured about 80 X 50 feet, 65 to 75 people, and I never had to go into the boost volume range to fill the room with sound. Keep in mind this thing is 500 watts RMS and has a total of 6 speakers counting the sub--that's a lot of speakers and a lot of power for small to mid-size venues.

Good luck on whatever you decide upon,

Gary
