Hi AJ,
actually the dongles are a bit of a pain,
( especially the old serial one on my old laptop ) but also a good form of protection. Can see why companies would be loath about sending out replacements, be hard to prove it was lost & not given away.

Actually the sd1+ is quite an interesting keyboard. I don't think I've ever seen so many dedicated function buttons before.
Takes a while to work them all out.
Has an inbuilt sampler.
Luv the drums. Has a normal set ( channel 10 ) plus something they call " Live Drums " channel 9. Gives them a bit more realism. Plus I beleive audio loops can be incorporated into a style via the (Live Drum midi channel) if that's the case, I may hunt around for some audio loops ( .wav files) of drum rhythms. Found a great cd online the other day on Brushes http://www.bigfishaudio.com/4DCGI/detailWhatsOn.html?840
Just want to make sure it does what I think it will, before I order anything.

Actually it's nice to just have something to switch on and play.

Certainly not the end of Rikki2006 softsynth arranger, just gives me more to play around with.

Are you still planning on updating your keyboard, or are you sticking with your korg?

best wishes
Rikki

I always wanted to try out an SD1 Rikki. I bet it's a heck of a board. Enjoy.....
