GO FOR IT! You'll know right away if you have what it takes--your audiences will tell you in no uncertain terms. My best advice is to play music that folks can dance to. If they can't dance to it--don't play it. At least that has been my philosophy for as long as I can remember. Above all, be an entertainer--that's what the audiences are paying for.
