One of the saddest parts of hearing loss is not being able to hear the beauty of a fine acoustic guitar. Like not hearing the quality of music.
The first time I became aware of what a hearing loss meant to music is when a mandolin player who I worked with who wore hearing aids in both ears said. “It’s like listening to music on the telephone”.

I’m not there yet, thank God. But it is on its way.
