My dad 11 years ago had angeoplastie and then a stent put in. I don't know all the specifics, was only 17 years old at the time. Anyway, no kind of bypass surgery or anything. He is doing great to this day. He is not even taking asperin. He is taking a lot of vitamins and supplements. One thing he did a lot right after his procedure was chelation. Several treatments of chelation, and now he is still on aural chelation.
