As I'm sure some of you already know, the Pointer Sisters version debuted in May 1981, with it peaking at #2 for 3 weeks. Conway debuted the country version of this tune in April 1982 peaking at #1 for two weeks. Ok, here's a little added trivia: Del Reeves had actually recorded & charted this song (debuting in Sept 1981, and peaking at #53 on the Country Billboard charts) even before Conway's smash hit version.
