I am new to this, so please be gentle.

I have a Yamaha PSR 1000 and am able to create a music file and save it as a midi file to floppy. I then import this into music notation software (both Capella 2002 and Sibelius 2) on my PC where the music comes out all wrong. Without editing I re-save the file as a midi file and play the amended version on the PSR and it similarly sounds wrong. All midi files created solely in Capella and saved as midi sound OK (even better) on the PSR.

Do I need different software or even/and a cable connectivity?

HELP!!!!
