We have VERY similar 'pet peeves' re e-mail .. I am especially turned off by incorrect spelling,(even though I am sometimes guilty) and the misuse of words such as 'your' for 'you're', and I am constantly amazed at the education level of the people who misuse those words ...

As for being careful with who you are sending the mail to, there was an e-mail going around the world (it's so easy these days) about a young lady from NYC who spent the night with a young man, and when she e-mailed her girlfriend with the not so thrilling details, she inadvertently sent it to the fellow as well!!! .....
